Palmera "Polly" M. (Gazza) Yanity

Palmera M. "Polly" Yanity, 87, Homer City, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1924 in Homer City and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Caroline Gazza. Mrs. Yanity was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She is survived by 2 sons - Frederick A. Yanity and wife Lynn, Johnstown and Thomas A. Yanity and partner Robert Howells, Homer City. 1 granddaughter - Melissa and husband Shawn Shockey, Philadelphia and 2 great granddaughters - Sarah and Grace. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband - Albert Yanity who died on September 10, 1996; 2 brothers - Mellio and Albino Gazza. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Rev. Fr. Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow at the St. Bernard Cemetery.
