Paul Donald ('Haircut') Smidga

Smidga, Paul Donald, Haircut 88, of Nanty Glo, passed away December 27, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1928 in Nanty Glo. Son of the late Paul and Rose (Strenko) Smidga. Preceded in death by wife Jessie (Jones); Daughter Carolyn; Brothers William, Richard, and Ronald; Sisters Maureen, Irene, Catherine, Mary Jane, and Rita Mae. Survived by sons Gary and Paul, Jr. and daughter Debra Luzier, all of Nanty Glo. Grandchildren Brandy, Dawn, Edna, Dan, Lori, Gary, andJessie, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was the brother of Walt, Glen Burnie, Md., Robert, Monroe, Ny, and Rosemarie Harper, Augusta, Ky. Paul was a Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of the Nanty Glo Polish Club and Nanty Glo Moose Lodge #207. Family and friends will be received at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral, Nanty Glo, Friday, 2-4 and 6-8, where funeral services will be Saturday, 11:00 A.M. Deacon James Janosik, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. Veterans services will be conducted by the Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks, and Vintondale Ritual Team.
