Pauline (Kimak) Jones

March 1, 1942 — December 9, 2017

Pauline (Kimak) Jones, age 75 of Vintondale, PA, gained her angelic wings on December 9th, 2017. Pauline, born on March 1st, 1942, was the daughter of the late Helen (Dancha) Kimak and John Kimak. She is preceded in death by her brothers George Kimak, Nicholas Kimak, John Kimak, and nephew Nicholas Kimak Jr. Pauline leaves to cherish her memory her children John Paul Jones, Helen Marie Jones ,and Paula Jones Hoffman (Dean). Pauline is also survived by three grandchildren Nicolas, Hannah, and Grace, two sisters Mary Shea of Toledo, Ohio, Ann Sturms of Dillsburg, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Pauline always held dear in her heart her best friend since childhood, Zolinda Antol Kiriakidis of Vintondale and friends Sylvia and Jim McIntosh of Vintondale. Sylvia and Jim would always serve Pauline delicious meals on holidays and special occasions to brighten her day. Paulines daughter Helen Jones was her best friend and had a relationship just like sisters. Pauline was fond of Helens fiance Joe Acuri as he would help her in the time of need. Paulines had a beautiful bond with her son John and would describe her daughter Paula as being very devoted. followed in her footsteps to care for others by becoming a nurse. Pauline had a love for cats and always had cats as pets. She would frequently take in strays and nurture them. She donated funds to the North Shore Animal League, ASPCA, and the Humane Society. Pauline would always put the needs of others before her own. Pauline lived her life in the service of others. Paulines mother was left paralyzed due to an accident when Pauline was 17 years old. Pauline lived in foster homes during her senior year of high school and upon graduation dedicated the rest of her life to caring for her mother and her three children with minimal resources. Despite these limited resources, Pauline still inspired her three children to obtain college degrees which made her very proud. Pauline was an angel on earth. She truly lived by the words of Mother Teresa: A life not lived for others is not a life. Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday, 10 A.M. at Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, Vintondale. Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangement. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pauline's daughter, Helen Jones, 168 Harmony Dr., Apt #2, Johnstown, Pa 15909.
