Perry Monroe Anderson

Perry Butch Monroe Anderson, 71, Of Burrell Twp., died Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Oakhill Nursing Center, Greensburg, PA. Perry was born on April 15, 1941 in Homer City. He was the son of the late Perry Thomas and Tessie M. (Gardner) Anderson. Perry enjoyed hunting, fishing and yard sales. He was also very fond of his horses and enjoyed going to horse auctions. He was in the United States Marine Corp for over 15 years. He was the recipient of 3 purple hearts and served during the Vietnam War. Perry is survived by 2 sisters Karen Shetler and husband William, Blacklick and Edith Cribbs and husband (Charles), Niagara Falls, NY And 1 brother Glenn Anderson, Tonawanda, NY He was also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, brothers James and Leo Leonard, sister Beverly Doris Anderson, and great nephew Michael S. Shetler. Friends will be received Thurday, November 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City . Services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A military service will be held with interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery
