Beckett, Philip, 96, Mineral Point, Passed away Aug. 31, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Born 6-19-1920 in Confluence. Son of the late Harry and Corda Sue (Vought) Beckett. Preceded in death by wife Leona (Firl) Beckett. Brothers Forrest, Glen, and David. Survived by Children; Elizabeth B. (Gary) Leventry, Severn, Md.; Susan (James) Yeager, Hastings; Thomas (Zoyla) Beckett, Casa Grande, Az.; Daniel (Jacquelyn) Beckett, Peoria, Az. 8 Grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in North Africa and Italy with the 760th Tank Battillion. Retired truck driver with Arco for 35 years. Family and friend will be received at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, Friday 1:00 P.M. til the time of funeral service at 3:00 P.M. The Rev. Melody Polisky and Rev. Gary Grau, officiating.
