Raymond Gerber

December 2, 1921 — October 7, 2016

Raymond D., 94, of Mundy's Corner, died peacefully, Friday October 7, 2016, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 2, 1921, in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Albert and Myrtle (Karl) Gerber. Preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Alberta (Simpson) Gerber; four sons, Rodney (Donna); George (Geralynn); Dennis (Shawn); Jeffery (Annette); a daughter, Pamela (Mark); 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs Mildred Lewis of Toledo, OH. Ray was a World War II Army veteran and worked as a coal miner. He will be greatly missed. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondreizek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Marvin Lowery, officiating. Interment to follow in Richland Cemetery.
