Regis Mytrysak, age 54, of Brush Valley, died Monday, February 3, 2014. Regis was born on October 9, 1959 in Indiana, Pa. and was the son of Stanley and Sophie J. (Csarnogusky) Mytrysak who passed away on January 13, 2014. Regis worked in Education for the Department of Correction and was a self-employed carpet installer. He was also a gravedigger, a truck driver, and a coal miner. Regis was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer City. He was also a member of the Elks and the Red Barn Sportsman's Club. Regis enjoyed golfing, hunting, bowling and softball. He is survived by his son, Brandon Mytrysak and his wife Stacy of Johnstown and his mother Pam Holsinger; Fiancée, Sally McClain of Clymer and her kids Devin and Conner McClain; brother, Den Mytrysak and wife Toni of Brush Valley. He is also survived by his uncle, John Mytrysak of Grafton, his aunt, JoAnne Csarnogusky of Petersburg, Virginia and his sister-in-law, Charlotte Mytrysak of North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Thad. Friends will be received Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a Parastas will be held 2:00 PM Thursday. A Panachida will be held on Friday at 10:15 at the funeral home followed by a funeral liturgy at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer City with Father Cuthbert Jack, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Louis Cemetery, Lucernemines.
