Rita Agnes Simasek

Rita Agnes (Jovan) Simasek , 76, of Jackson Twp., passed away Oct. 18, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born Nov. 18, 1941. Daughter of the late George and Geraldine (Krone) Jovan. Preceded in death by sister Geraldine and brother George Jovan. Rita is survived by her children Michelle Jovan, Ebensburg; Stephen (Lisa) Simasek, Nanty Glo; Pamela (Kevin)Hritz, Nanty Glo; Denise (Bob) Bowers, Johnstown; Cynthia (Leo) Chamer, Menoher Heights. Grandchildren Candice, Edward, Shannon, Amanda, Brennan, Ashley, Sandy, Tessie, Stephen, Stephanie, Kimberly, Jonathan, Seth. 20 great grandchildren and she was anxiously anticipating 2 new arrivals. Rita was a loving and proud Grandmother who loved being surrounded by her family. She enjoyed going on trips with her friends, traveling, and gambling. She was an active member of St. John Vianney's Church. She had a deep and abiding love of her faith in which she received a lot of comfort. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo is in charge of the arrangements.
