Robert Edward Ciranni

Robert Edward Ciranni, 93, Homer City died June 12, 2024 at the Communities of Indian Haven. He was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Arone) Ciranni and was born October 25, 1930 in Homer City.

Robert enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles and Pittsburgh sports teams. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and a 70 year life member of the Homer City American Legion. Robert was a United States Navy Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Westinghouse Specialty Metals, Blairsville and Iselin Coal Preparation Plant.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Gulakowski) Ciranni; his son, Bob and wife Mary Ann, Homer City; his granddaughter, Janine Ciranni, and his grandson, Craig and wife Chantel all of North Carolina. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Edward Gulakowski and wife Patricia and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Francis (Marge) Ciranni, Carmella (Eugene) Murphy, Anthony (Rose) Ciranni, Margaret (Beryl) Bush, infant sister, Elizabeth Ciranni and his brother-in-law Richard Gulakowski.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Communities of Indian Haven and his caretakers, Janet, Kim, Linda and Barbara. 

Friends will be received Saturday from 8 AM until time of Military Services at 9:45 AM at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site. Interment in the St. Bernard Mausoleum.
