Robert Kenosh, 91, died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Hoholak0 Kenosh and was born December 7, 1920 in Lucernemines, PA. Mr. Kenosh was a retired coal miner with 42 years of employment and was a member of UMWA Local #1412, Ernest. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and a WWII Navy Veteran. Mr. Kenosh served on the USS Princeton in the South Pacific and was a Lifetime member of VFW Post #1989, Indiana. He is survived by his wife - Mary (Mester). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son - Barry, 5 sisters - Mary Robosky, Helen Spondike, Anne Breznick, Sue Sebastian and Veronica Kenosh; and 4 brothers - Joseph, John, Andrew and Steve. A Blessing Service will be held at 9:30 AM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Rev. Fr. Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Internment to follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
