Rosemary (Strini) Bertocchi

Rosemary Bertocchi, 85, Tearing Run, Homer City died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Live Well County Estates. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Stella) Strini and was born August 15, 1926 in Indiana County. Rosemary graduated from of Indiana Hospital School of Nursing in 1947 and is a member of the Nurses Alumni Association where she served as treasurer and chairman of the ways and means committee. In addition to her activities in her organization, she has always been interested in student nurses, having been a class advisor. Rosemary was the head of surgical nursing in the operating room for 41 years. She is survived by one brother John Strini, Jr. and wife Dory of Tearing Run; Two sisters Flora and husband Pete Maggio of Cherry Run and Amelia Stewart of Indiana. Rosemary is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Geno Bertocchi in 2006, one brother Lloyd Strini and a brotherin-law J. Edgar Stewart. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a Vigil will be recited Monday at 3PM. A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site with Rev. Fr. Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family wants to thank the VNA of Indiana County for all their help and support.
