Stella (Sobieray) Brodrick

Stella Brodrick, 93, Blairsville formerly of Lucernemines died Wednesday, January 09, 2013 in Blairsville. She was born October 15, 1919 in Clune, PA and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Flack) Sobieray. Mrs. Brodrick was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She is survived by two sons - Martin Jr. and wife Patricia (Hewitt) Brodrick of Indiana and Lawrence and wife Donna ( Libengood) Brodrick of Blairsville; Two grandchildren - Rebecca Shank and husband Richard Shank of Lucernemines and Mark Lawrence Brodrick of Blairsville. Mrs. Brodrick is also survived by a great-granddaughter - Anna Lynn Shank and a sister - Helen Cocovich of Indiana. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brodrick was preceded in death by her husband - Martin Brodrick, two grandsons - Craig and Douglas Brodrick, three brothers - Joseph, Walter and Raymond and one sister- Jessie Slansky. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a vigil service will be held 2:30 Friday. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines site with Father Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
