Stella L. (Luksich) Horak

Stella L. Horak, 83, Pittsburgh formerly of Lucernemines died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Arden Court, Monroeville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Fillon) Luksich. Stella was born August 23, 1928 in Lucernemines. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish where she was very active and volunteered her time helping with the bereavement meals at the church. She was also a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and was employed by McCreary Tire and Rubber where she worked for over 40 years. Ms. Horak is survived by 3 sisters - Pauline Bilecky of Georgia; Catherine Hill of Pittsburgh and Eleanor Sadowski of Doylestown. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers - Frank and John Luksich and her 2 sisters - Anne Robinson and Mary Luksich. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where a vigil will be recited. A Blessing Service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Rev. Fr. Ron Cyktor, the celebrant. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
