Stephanie H. Chesonis

Stephanie H. Chesonis, 96, Homer City died Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Zawau) Kozele and was born August 3, 1922 in Homer City. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Parish and the local recording secretary of the American Slovenian Catholic Union. Mrs. Chesonis is survived by her son, Robert Chesonis Jr., Latrobe and her brother, John Kozele, Homer City She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, who died on May 9, 2000, four brothers, Frank, Martin, Joseph and William and three sisters, Josephine Kosmack, Mary Veneziano and Jeannie Pogoda. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Monday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site. Interment to follow in the St. Louis Cemetery, Lucernemines.
