Stephanie Irene Elliott, 23, Lucernemines died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at UMPC Presbyterian. She was born May 6, 1990 to James E. Jr. and Charlene (Cochran) Elliott. Stephanie was a member of Bridge to Life Church in Johnstown, PA. She loved horseback riding, welding, spending time with her niece and nephew and her beloved dog, Ellie. Stephanie was a straight A student throughout elementary and high school and was on the National Honor Society. She played volleyball, softball and was a cheerleader for Indiana Area High School where she graduated in 2008. She also graduated from ICTC in 2008 where she received her welding certification and was the secretary of ICTC. She attended Penn Highlands Community College, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Penn State Erie, The Behrend College where she was getting her degree in Mechanical Engineering. She was a bartender at Wolfendale's in Indiana and was also employed by the Indiana VFW. She is survived by her parents James E. Jr. and Charlene (Cochran) Elliott, of Lucernemines; brothers, James Lewis Elliott and his fiancée Wendy Shea Trenny of Marion Center and Jonathan Michael Elliott and his fiancée Kelly Bingaman of Westover; niece, Madison Elizabeth Smith of Indiana and nephew, Jayden Michael Bingaman of Westover. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, James E. Elliott Sr. and Phyllis Jean Elliott of Homer City; Maternal grandmother, Thelma Cochran Sr. and Patricia Fetterman of Home , PA; Paternal Great grandmother, Catherine Coleman Carroll of Lucernemines. Her Aunts and Uncles, Jeffrey Elliott (Lynn) of Indiana; Krista (Ed) Kunkle of Homer City; John Cochran Jr. of Punxsutawney; Frank and Tina Cochran of Armagh; Beverly Cochran of Georgia and many cousins also survive her. She was preceded in death by her Great-grandfather Louis Coleman; great-grandmothers, Mary Elliott and Rosetta McCracken and great aunts, Bernadette Coleman and Patricia Hill. Friends will be received Thursday from 1-4 and 6-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser, Homer City where services will be held at 8PM with Pastor Chris, officiating.
