Stephen Pribesh

Stephen Pribesh, 86, of Homer City, passed away on October 1, 2025, at Haida Heath Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hastings, Pennsylvania. Steve was the oldest of his siblings and grew up with a strong sense of care and responsibility for his family. He was born on June 21, 1939 in Homer City to the late John and Stella Pribesh.

Stephen retired from Foothills Litho in Latrobe and proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed going to camp, fishing, canning, making wine, and spending time with family and friends. Steve was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, PA, Homer City American Legion, and the Tide Sportsmen’s Club.

Steve is survived by his sons, Scott and his wife, Marty; Matt and his wife, Brittney, and his daughter in law, Beverly. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda, Crystal, Stephen, Kaylee, Alex, Devin, Connor, and Bella. His brother, Joe and several nieces and nephews also survive him.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Edwards); his son, Greg, and his siblings Dorothy, Francie, John, and Theresa.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Hadda Heath Care and DCI, Hastings for their wonderful care and kindness.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 9th from 2–6 PM at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 10th at 11:00 A.M at the funeral home. Committal will follow at SS Simon and Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, with military rites at the cemetery honoring Steve’s service in the United States Army.
