Thomas Wayne Wise

Thomas Wayne Wise, 75, Lucernemines died Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Joseph and Gaye (Stewart) Wise and was born October 25, 1940 in Graceton, PA. Thomas attended Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and was a member of the Local UMWA. He served in the Air Force from 1959-1967. After his time in the Air Force he was employed by the Homer City Power Plant, McCreary Tire and Rubber, Florence Mines and most recently, Morgantown Machine and Hydraulics. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed playing ball with his grandchildren. Thomas is survived by his wife, Patricia (Tallarom) Wise death ended 57 years of marriage; daughter, Veronica Steetle, Indiana; two sons, Jeffrey T. Wise and wife Elizabeth and David M. Wise and wife Susan, both of Virginia; eight grandchildren, Andrew and wife Rachel, Katie and Michelle Steetle; Megan and Alex Wise and Tyler and Ashley Wise. He is also survived by his sisters, Margie Harold, Lorain OH and Faye Trunzo, Rural Valley PA In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by his son-in-law, Mike Steetle and brothers, Bill Wise, Fred Wise and Ed Wise. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site with Rev. Fr. Ron Cyktor, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Louis Cemetery.
