Wallace Harold Cook

Wallace Harold Cook, age 89, of Homer City, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC). He was born on April 1, 1936, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and was the son of the late Jay Cook and Helen (Campbell) Warner.

Wallace was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and was actively involved in several organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Indiana VFW Post #1989. He was employed for many years at the Homer City Power Plant.

Wallace enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, watching NASCAR, and reading, and he especially loved dancing polka with his wife. Above all else, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Fricke, of Toledo, Ohio; his four grandchildren, Ronnie, Abbie, Logan, and Landon; his sister, Loretta Lowman, of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wallace was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jane Cook; his son-in-law, Ron Fricke; and his brother, Chuck Cook.

In accordance with Wallace’s wishes, no services will be held.
