William Allison George

July 23, 1932 — September 18, 2012

William Allison George, 80, of Brookside Dairy, Homer City went home to be with his LORD on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. He was the son of the late Walter Clark and Priscilla (Allison) George and was born on the family farm; he loved so well; on July 23, 1932. Bill was a long standing active member of the Homer City United Methodist Church where he was very committed to serving his church. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran and when he can home from the marine Corp in 1954 he engaged in dairy farming on the George homestead now known as Brookside Dairy where he was the owner and operator. Bill was a member of Masonic Lodge #313 and attended Homer Center School and Penn State University. Mr. George is survived by his wife - Shirley (Merrill) George; sons Kevin C. George and wife Patricia and Keith M. George and wife Marjorie all of Homer City; daughter Robin and husband Bernie Pavlick of Homer City; 6 grandchildren - Megan, Allison, Aaron, Shane, Hannah and Averie and two great grandchildren - Riley and Cooper He is also survived by one sister Sarah J. Mack of Jonesboro, Indiana. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Homer City United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Smith and Rev. Joseph Stains, officiating. Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana For the wonderful care and compassion shown to our beloved husband and father, we sincerely thank Dr. Bajwa, Dr, Barnes the nurses of ICU and the VNA.
