He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Colton and Bailey; his siblings, John (Georgia) Wensell, Marlene (Mark) Schrager, Thomas (Connie) Wensell, and Barbara (Carl) Cobb; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Wensell, and his best friend and uncle, Peter Kresho, as well as several aunts and uncles.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the IRMC outpatient infusion nurses, UPMC Cancer Center (Pittsburgh), Dr. Rossetti and staff, Penn Home Health & Hospice, Dr. Nettleton and Melissa, and the OT/PT services at Anew for their compassionate care throughout Bill’s two-year battle with leukemia.
