Betha Lois (Bennett) Trunzo

Betha Lois Trunzo, 95, Homer City, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Born July 9, 1922 in Indiana. She is the daughter of the late Oliver and Minnie (Engle) Bennett. Betha attended Indiana High School. She worked at Season-All Industries, Federal Laboratories, was a school bus driver, and the owner/operator of her own beauty salon. On October 21, 1940 she married Arthur Samuel Trunzo and they raised three children. Betha enjoyed spending time with her family, attending events at the senior center, and volunteering to make chocolate Easter eggs for her Church. She loved the holidays, loved to garden and bake, and she loved to laugh. Betha was a member of the United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Arthur; Children; Frederic (Marty Mills) Trunzo; Christine (Jim) Cummins; and Thomas (Sharon) Trunzo. Grandchildren; Jeff (Melissa) Forsha, Fred Trunzo Jr; Jill (George) Endress; Darcy Trunzo; Allison (Josh) Higgins; Corinne (Jeff) Snell; Susanne (Ron Minnich) Cummins and Matthew Cummins; Great grandchildren; Austin and Mariah Forsha; Brendan Chesebrough, Dakota and Ryan Endress; Kyle (Rachelle) McTavish; Olivia and Jack Higgins; Leah and RJ Minnich and Maisie Cummins. Great-great grandchildren; Henley, Kennedy and Bellamy McTavish. Also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister. The family would like to thank Betha's caregivers at Bethany Place and her VNA nurses. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. Friends can also be received Thursday from 10 Am until time of service at 11 AM at the Homer City United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Morris, officiating. Interment to follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Betha Bennett Trunzo's name.
