Catherine Ann (Romanish) Carroll

Catherine Ann Carroll, 92, Lucernemines died Monday, February 10, 2020 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, Indiana, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Marko and Mary (Vadas) Yurmanovic and was born November 25, 1927 in Atlantic, PA.

She was known to everyone as grandma and she was loved by so many. Catherine was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She loved her dogs, being outside with her flowers and traveling anywhere where she could be near water.

She is survived by her five children, Phyllis and husband James Elliott, Homer City; Mary Catherine and husband Robert James, Indiana; John Coleman and wife LuAnn, Lucernemines; Patricia Patterson, Homer City and Theresa and husband Carl Kovski, Greensburg. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren; and brother, George Romanish (Pat Cribbs), Blairsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Coleman; second husband, Henry Carroll; son, Mark Lewis Coleman; daughter, Bernadette Coleman; great granddaughter, Stephanie Elliott; sister, Dorothy; and brothers, Joseph, Mark and infant Edward.

Friends will be received Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City.  A Blessing Service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernemines Site.  Interment to follow in the Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
