E. Ruth (Dilts) Ashman

E. Ruth Ashman, 94, Homer City died August 2, 2019 at the Communities of Indian Haven.  She was the daughter of the late Nile Jay and Nellie (Hamilton) and was born December 2, 1924 in Burrell Township.

Ruth was employed as an LPN at Torrence State Hospital for 35 years and was a member of AARP.

She is survived by her sister-in-laws, Nancy Adamsky of Indiana and Marie Adamsky and Stella Davis, both of Homer City Homer City.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Pat” Ashman, her infant son, Robert, and her brothers, James and Terry Dilts.

Friends will be received Sunday from noon until time of service at 1PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home Chapel, Homer City.  Interment to follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
