John F. Kerzan

John Kerzan, 82, Indiana died December 23, 2017 at his residence. He was the son of the late John E. and Helen (Soltis) Kerzan and was born September 7, 1935 in Ambridge, PA. John was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish; Elks Lodge #931, Indiana, PA; SNPJ Lodge #33, Ambridge, PA; VFW Post # 1989, Indiana, PA and league bowling. He worked at Star Manufacturing, Homer City, PA, was also employed by Holiday Inn, Indiana, PA and he volunteered delivering for Meals on Wheels. John retired from the military after serving 20 years, four years in the Navy and 16 years in the Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Annetta Kerzan; two sons, John E. Kerzan, Bristol, TN; James Kerzan and wife Linda, Chambersburg, PA and a granddaughter, Jaime Kerzan also of Chambersburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Kerzan. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-5 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Blessing Service will he held Thursday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lucernmines Site.
