Mary Ann Akers, 78 of Homer City, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Armstrong Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.
She was born August 8, 1941, in Indiana.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Akers, and her mother, Mary Akers.  A brother, Charles Akers, and a nephew Archie Akers.
Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Gallo, and husband Jim Gallo. Her sister in law, Janet Akers.  Nieces Pamela Holsinger and Husband, Greg Holsinger, and Lisa Renz.  Nieces and Nephews include Jennifer Kinter and husband Tom, Chad Akers, and wife Alicia, Lisa Akers, and many great, and great great Nieces and Nephews.
MaryAnn was a fun loving, caring family oriented person, whom loved everyone, and her men, particularly Brian.  She loved her family, going on vacations, she loved her shopping trips, and purchasing jewelry and clothes.  She loved watching movies, and going to the movies with her friends. Special thanks to Stacey, Tammy and all the wonderful staff from Evergeen Homes for taking care of her for 20 years.  She will be sadly missed by all.
Due to the health concerns of the COVID-19 virus, services have been cancelled and will be private at the convenience of the family.  She will be buried at the Greenwood Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at later date
