Vivian Holt

Vivian Virginia Holt, age 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, passing peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

She was born June 5, 1931, in Lucerne Mines, PA, to Arthur and Nora Olive (Kerr) Holt.

Vivian graduated from Homer City High School in 1950 and Indiana Business College. She worked at FMC Corporation for 39 years before her retirement.

She had a life-long love for music, having taken voice and piano lessons in her youth and was active with the Homer City Methodist Church choir. In her lifetime, she served on many committees with the church and was an active member in the Order of the Eastern Star organization.

Surviving are the following nieces and nephews- Sharon Kucera (Andy),Youngwood, PA, Dennis Holt (Libby) Jacksonville, FL, Dwain Seese (Norma), Shelocta, PA, Ted Marsh (Ann), Virginia Beach, VA, Jeff Holt (Jan), Mechanicsburg, PA, Cynthia Holt-Selkow (Murray), Perkasie, PA, Mark Kunkle (June), Bayonet, FL, Scott Kunkle (Andra), Lenoir, NC, and Barry (Gina) Holt, Homer City, PA, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Vivian was preceded in death by his parents; her siblings, Sam (Elaine) Holt, Arthur (Dorothy) Holt, Agnes (Bill) Seese, Mary Louise Holt, Eugene (Isabelle) Holt, Betty (Cal) Kunkle and her nephew-in-law, Andrew Kucera.

Vivian will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her strong faith, her love of family, her music, and her beloved dogs.

The family wants to extend special thanks to Rene Simms and Marge Steiner who were a great help to her in her later years.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Homer City United Methodist Church, 2 S. Main St., Homer City, PA 15748 in remembrance of Vivian.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
